Alumni Annual Breakfast in the Park

Time - 9:00am-11:30am
Cost - $10.00 for adults
$4.00 for children under 12
Reservation are requested for meal planning, but we want you to come - with or without a reservation!
The Alumni Association is pleased to sponsor our biggest annual event and biggest fund raiser event of the year "Breakfast in the Park", at Kiwanis Pavilion, Sunday, August 7, 2022, from 9:00am to 11:30am. Our breakfast waffles will be prepared by crew chief Tony DiGeronimo ('75), with the Class of 1970 providing sausage and fruit. Danish, juice and coffee will also be on on the menu.
The Alumni Breakfast provides an opportunity to join or renew your Alumni Association Membership, purchase tickets for the Alumni Sunday morning 50/50 Raffle, and purchase tickets for the Alumni Basket Raffle. The baskets can be viewed at the Alumni Home Days tent Friday and Saturday and then at the breakfast on Sunday.
Dress is casual, come as you are and visit with other IHS Alumni and class mates.

Visit the Alumni Home Days Tent
Please stop by the Alumni Home Days tent on Home Days weekend. We are located at the south entrance to Elmwood Park, near Zuber field. On display are the baskets which will be auctioned at the breakfast on Sunday. IHS class year books and memorabilia will be on display. It's a great place to mingle with IHS graduates too!
Please consider volunteering for a shift on Friday or Saturday. It's not hard, just hang out and talk to people and sell a few raffle tickets or take alumni membership/renewals. Class of 1972 Reunion
The Class of 1972 is having their 50 Year Class Reunion this year. On Friday, August 5, classmates will meet up at the Kiwanis Beer Garden at 7:00 p.m. to reminisce and get the reunion weekend started. Saturday morning a Golf Outing is planned at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course. The main event, a dinner/dance, will take place Saturday, August 6,at 6:30 p.m. at Briarwood Golf Club. We are informing our classmates about the Alumni Breakfast, Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m., and may see you there. Sunday afternoon Jackie and Jim Horn have opened their home to the class for a picnic. It will be so nice to see our classmates again to celebrate our 50 year reunion.

The Alumni Association meets the second Monday of the month, four times each year, in March, June, September and November.

Donations and memorabilia
We are always looking for memorabilia from your high school years. If you have rings, class photos, yearbooks from 1926 thru 1928, 1931 thru 1944, 1946 thru 1951, 1992 and 1994, or other related items you would like to donate to the Alumni Association, please email the Alumni Association at Alumni Association .

Current active members represent graduates from the Class of 1942 to 2022.
Annually, the Association Awards two $500.00 Graduating Senior Awards; Presents an Annual Gift to Independence High School from $500.00 to $1,500.00; Supports the Graduating Class Yearbook ($350.00); Recognizes one or more teaches as an "Educator of Excellence".
Our 2022 donation goal is $3,500.00
You do not have to be an IHS graduate to donate. Graduates, parents, friends and businesses are all welcome!
